Beverly Barris has won numerous awards for painting and sculpting, mural and decorative painting, commercial illustration for books and magazines as well as designing giftware and toy products for prestigious manufacturers in New York City. Her art has been displayed in The Cork Gallery and Lever House Gallery in New York, The Deland Museum, The Bergen Museum of Arts and Sciences in New Jersey and has been shown in more than 25 exhibitions throughout the USA. Beverly has taught privately for over fifteen years.
Beverly will help students learn to paint what they see from still life to landscape to figure painting. Beverly will provide insights and short cuts garnered from over thirty-five years of award-winning professional experience. Students interested in abstract or non-objective art can also benefit from Beverly’s knowledge in those genres.
Painting techniques will be for acrylic and oil painting as well as the use of pencils and charcoal for drawing.
